26^th Annual Foot Locker Cross Country Championships

National Finals Roster

SAN DIEGO, December 7, 2004 – The final roster was announced today for the 26^th annual

Foot Locker Cross Country Championships (FLCCC) National Finals to be held in San Diego, Calif., at Morley Field in Balboa Park on Saturday, Dec. 11.

The Foot Locker Cross Country Championships is comprised of four regional 5K races, which took place across the country. The Midwest (Kenosha, Wis.), Northeast (Bronx, N.Y.), and South (Charlotte, N.C.) regional races were on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, and the West (Walnut, Calif.) regional race was Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004. More than 10,000 of the nation's leading high school runners competed in the regional meets where the top eight finishers in each of the boys and girls seeded races advance to National Finals.

This year, the qualifying process included additional runners where the first two boys and girls from each of the four Foot Locker regions at NTN have the opportunity to run at the FLCCC National Finals. If, however, any of these runners had already qualified for the FLCCC Finals in the earlier FLCCC Regional Races, the additional qualifying place went to the next alternate from the respective Foot Locker region. The final field of runners from each region is 10 boys and 10 girls.
